Parliament is voting on three bills to amend the Women's Reservation Act 2023 and establish a Delimitation Commission to operationalize the 33% women's quota for the 2029 general elections. The Union Home Minister assured that the proportional representation of southern states in the Lok Sabha will be protected even as the total strength of the House increases post-delimitation.
