India abstains on UNGA resolution on ICJ climate opinion

India abstained from voting on a United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) resolution regarding the International Court of Justice (ICJ) advisory opinion on climate change obligations. The resolution, moved by Vanuatu, aims to compel countries to limit global warming to 1.5°C based on the ICJ's July 2025 opinion.
