India and Indonesia held their 8th Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) after a four-year gap, co-chaired by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono. The discussions focused on reviewing and expanding the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership elevated in 2018, covering defence, maritime trade, and security cooperation, building upon the momentum of President Prabowo Subianto's State Visit to India in January 2025, where he served as the Republic Day Chief Guest.
