The Union Home Minister, during the 10th apex-level meeting of the Narco-Coordination Centre (NCORD), announced plans to amend the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. The objective is to plug loopholes exploited by narco-syndicates and adopt a ruthless approach towards drug peddlers.
