The upcoming India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will include a dedicated annexure to address India's concerns regarding the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). This framework aims to help Indian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) navigate the compliance requirements of the EU's carbon tax and potentially offset carbon prices paid domestically in India against those levied in Europe.
