The United Kingdom has officially recognized India's Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) as a qualifying criterion for pricing relief under its Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). This recognition allows Indian exporters to claim relief on the effective carbon price they have already paid under the CCTS, thereby reducing their tax liability when exporting goods to the U.K.
